A Summer Giveaway...

To welcome the first day of summer yesterday,
our eldest,
Ally, posted a
First Day of Summer Giveaway .

She's giving away the purse (pictured above)
that she just crocheted this week.
It's in lovely summer colors
and I think she did a great job!

If you're interested in participating,
be sure to visit her blog.
And if you've never read her blog before,
grab a cup of coffee, tea, or your favorite drink...
She has some lovely posts
that have really blessed my heart.
(But then, again, I may be a little biased. *Ü* )

Enjoy your Friday!

What a cute purse!
Ally is a very sweet young lady, but I knew she would be!
We'll be there in about 5 weeks! We are looking forward to meeting you all!

I left a comment but didn't want to enter the contest. That purse isn't big enough for me to use so it is best gone to someone else. But I wanted her to know that she did a great job on that purse. My youngest daughter crochets purses and has sold many for extra money.

It was also great seeing some "beautiful" pictures of you on her blog. Looks like you can be a bit of a nut huh? LOL!!

Karen ~ We thought it was such a cute purse, too. She plans on making another one for us. ;o)
We are looking forward to meeting y'all, too. Can't wait to hear from you!

Brenda ~ Thank you. It was Ally's first purse. She had fun making it. I hope to check out your new blog look this weekend. ;o)

Julie ~ LOL... I had to crack up at your last comment. Yes, Ally does have some "beautiful" photos of me. I had to swallow my pride to let her post them. ;o) LOL And, yes, I confess, I can be a bit of a nut... but the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Thank you for leaving her a comment. I know she appreciates it very much (as do I). When you mentioned that your daughter sells them, Ally and I had to smile. She and I have been discussing that option. We thank you for that encouragement. ;o)

Hope y'all enjoy your weekend ~

LOL! I don't even remember what recruiting MOS is anymore and we just got off it 3 years ago. My husband is an 0369 but he's working at the air wing now in Miramar (San Diego). We just decided to remain here on Camp Pendleton and he'd commute. There is a big chance he might be heading back up this way soon. We've been praying for this and suddenly something has come up so yes, I really think it's going to happen : -) It's one of those things where you think that there is no way this could be a coincidence. I think God has his hand on this one. We'll know soon enough.

By the way, that purse is so cute! I'll check out your daughters page. I showed my 8 year old and her eyes got huge. She's very impressed. I said, "See? You'll be doing this soon enough, but first you have to finish your latch hook rug." :-)

Malina ~ I pray he will be able to return to y'all. What a blessing that would be.
I was very proud of Ally with making this purse. It was her first one. She enjoyed making it a lot and plans to make more. How great that your daughter likes to latch hook. I love for children to have handicrafts.
