Haven at Home on Wheels... Day 15

Today was my beloved's birthday!
He was greeted with a birthday cup of coffee in bed this morning.

We spent most of the morning around the house
then the girls and I went to get Daddy's cake
(he wanted an ice cream cake),
while he, Will, and my dad ran a few errands.

On their trip, they had the camper's propane tanks checked,
got my sweetheart's hair cut, miscellaneous shopping,
and visited a Confederate cemetery.

On the girls' trip, we stopped off for a frappuccino,
went to the post office, visited the mall and ate lunch,
picked up Daddy's cake, went to the Christian book store,
picked up a prescription, and headed home.

On our adventure, Carolynne discovered
(to her great delight & in her words) that she is
"growing a loose tooth!"
... it's bittersweet to watch them grow up.

Also, on our way home, we saw
a man on a horse on the side of the road.
Beth and Carolynne were very excited
because this man was not only on a horse
but he was wearing cowboy boots and hat...
And to solidify the fact that he was a cowboy
was that there were cows in the pasture behind him,
which MUST be his and, certainly, makes him a cowboy.
What a delight it was to listen to them!

For supper, we enjoyed spaghetti with meatballs,
per the birthday man's request. ;-)
Afterwards, we enjoyed some ice cream cake
and then a hilarious time of opening gifts.
What a blessing laughter is!

There has been some sickness going around in the family
but it seems to be passing through individuals quickly.
We have decided to stay another day
and look forward to the extra day of visiting. ;-)

Praising he LORD for HIS many blessings today.
Thanking HIM for my blessing me with my husband.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning
of plaiting the hair, and of wearing gold, or of putting on apparel;
But let it be the hidden man of the heart,
in that which is not corruptable,
even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit,
which is in the sight of God of great price."
~ 1 Peter 3:3-4
