Our "Special Guest" Has Arrived!

Our 'special guest' arrived yesterday evening!
The children went to Vacation Bible School,
riding with some friends,
and I went to the airport alone.

My excitement was at its peak
as I stood at the airport window
watching the plane land and the passengers exit.
I cannot describe the sudden overflow
of emotions that surrounded me
when I saw our 'special guest' walking of the plane!
And my face showed it... wet eyes and all!

After enjoying a wonderful supper with our 'special guest',
we went to the church to pick up the children.
Oh, what a moment!

Welcome home, Daddy!

That is SO wonderful!! My eyes are tearing up just reading your post. My husband was in the military years ago and so I think that is why I am so emotional about it. So is he home on just a visit or for good? I hope it is for good. I am SO happy for you and your family!!! = )

It's good I know where all the keys on my keyboard are, because I can't see the screen with all the tears coming down. I am so happy for you. When you say "guest" please tell me it doesn't mean he has to go back any time soon. I think Wil holding on to his neck got to me the most. I'm so unbelievably happy for you all. I guess I can write that prayer answered, that he is back home safely. By the way, Happy Anniversary. What a wonderful gift.

Oh I am so glad it was him! I just knew it was. How blessed you must all feel to be together. Thank you Mr. Marine for all you do for our country and the incredible sacrifice of leaving your precious family for long periods of time so that we may lay our heads on our pillows at night and sleep in peace. Enjoy your family!!!

Oh, God bless you! I've got tears and a lump in my throat. I'm sooooooo happy for you all.

I didn't realize in my reading that your husband was in Iraq. I know most are, but I didn't assume. My family's humble thanks go to you and yours for the noble sacrifice and bravery that it takes to accomplish such a calling.

You have a very special family.
