showed the kids your honey's picture in Iraq. We are praying for him and for your family. Thank you for sharing. I just heard they are going to be pulling lots of our troops out soon. Hopefully that is true.

I am glad he got back to the sand box safely. I know when one is in America, it takes forever to get to Iraq. Here in Germany it's a 4 hour trip for the men and women going down range. Much better than 12 to 24 hour day.

How much longer does he have in Iraq?

God Bless You!

Oh, thank the good Lord. I know that's a bit of a relief to know he's back safely. The traveling part makes me nervous. I will have to see if my mom still has your number on her phone, I know she has your email. I would love to get together sometime. After this weekend, things will slow down around my place, so we'll have to figure something out! How are y'all, by the way, and when is his tour over?

What a lovely blog you have! It's absolutely beautiful!

Is your hubby a Marine? I served in the US Navy during the first Gulf War. I spent a lot of time in the middle east with our huge MH53E helicopters. (I was a mechanic!)I was never in Iraq though, thanks to my gender! (Whew!)

GOD BLESS!! I'll keep your husband and your family in my prayers!

Yes, my beloved is a Marine. This is his first tour over there and a bit longer than the norm... and the longest we've been apart. But we learn to adapt. ;o)

I'm glad he made it safely. I was looking at that picture and couldn't help but think what a barren land that was. In more ways than one.

Christina,
I am so happy to hear your beloved is back in Iraq safely. Praying for your family the next couple months.

The encampment we went to is held at Metro Beach there off of Metro Parkway in Mt. Clemens, and it is held the last weekend in August every year. I guess this was the 14th year (first one we went to there though ;) ).

Hi Christina,
I am so happy to see he made it back safe. I have asked for prayers on my blog for your family. Bryan got orders to go overseas. But until he is on the plane we are going to get too excited. The army likes to change it's mind. You know how that is.
Hugs,
Elizabeth

I remember those days, my DH went to Iraq when it all started (2003-2004) he had only been home exactly one year to the day from his tour in Korea (2001-2002)that he then left for the war... I truly believe the LORD used the one year in korea to prepare me for his tour in Iraq. I have you and your family in my prayers, now we fight a war that is spiritual as they try to convince us that ISLAM is the way to peace for this war....LORD have mercy on us.

Tumbleweeds ~ The Lord surely knows what we need to prepare us. Thank you so much for your prayers. Yes, we are fighting a spiritual war. May we stay on our knees in prayer.
