Thursday's Things...

Today was a beautiful day,
much of which the children spent outdoors.
We continued our study in Genesis 3.
During our Bible study, we were comparing
spiritual warfare vs physical warfare.
We sure enjoyed digging into God's Word,
learning the Truths about our spiritual warfare!
Later, the children did miscellaneous things,
mostly played outside on the trampoline
(amazing how they can do that for so long!).

Will spent some time working on the R*ubick's Cube.
Daddy has been teaching him a few "tricks"
and he has spent a lot of time practicing...

Ally spent most of the day working in her
Advanced Chemistry and was excited about an experiment.
She got to make slime...

It's funny how homemade slime can entertain so many!

Daddy came home for lunch today
and he had the afternoon off
(since he has a "mandatory function" this evening).
We enjoyed spending the afternoon with him.
It was precious to see him playing on the floor
with the younger ones...

Later in the afternoon, he had to return to work
but it was worth seeing him in his "pickle suit"
(Marine Corps terminology)...

This uniform comes out on rare occasions
and I'm always glad to see it. ;o)

Ah, one of the perks of being a Marine wife...

I love it!!

Hope y'all have enjoyed your day! ;o)

"I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD,
and the praises of the LORD,
according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us,
and the great goodness toward the house of Israel,
which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies,
and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses."
~ Isaiah 63:7

The kids are having a blast wrestling with dad! He looks quite handsome in his uniform. I always liked my dad in his dress blues when he was in the air force.

I'm interested to know if anyone has truly messed that Rubik's Cube up, or if they just do a little at a time.

And your beloved looks very handsome in his "pickle suit"!

I always loved seeing Wes in his dress blues, but he rarely had to wear them and when he did, he hated them! LOL He wore his BDUs for everyday work, and the dress blues only came out when he had a parade or something like that.

Looks like a fun day, a little slimy maybe! The lab coat is great!

Oh yea you and your solider look great together and there is something about a man in uniform. Where can I buy one of those for mine??? :0)

I always love to see my husband in his uniform when he was in the military...the uniform always makes them look so spiffy and official...(but I wasn't crazy about the time he spent "spit shinning" his shoes!)
love your daughter the chemist!!

Looks like a fun day! Lol - Pickle suit. I love to see men all dressed up, but alas, my dh has 1 suit and hates to dress up - so I appreciate it ever the more when I do see him dressed up.

(I have an email in to someone selling their SOWI set, I hope to hear from them soon.)

It was great hearing from you! I am so glad that your family is all together again. Praise God!
Isn't this weather wonderful? Gotta' love spring! Are you using SOW??? We use it sometimes in a modified way. I LOVE the Bible part of it and I enjoy the children's prayer letters and papers they write on what we are learning. We sometimes do the other activities such as in science and all if it looks good.

Have a great weekend! Oh, could you share your sourdough recipe sometime?

Love in Christ,

Susan

Love those dress uniforms myself! Not that I'll be seeing one on my hubby for a while. It's always fun to see what Ally is up to (my degree is in Chemistry so I'm cheering her on!) with her studies. Have a great day!

What a fun day. Thanks for sharing it with us. Looks like Ally enjoys her Science. :)

I enjoy seeing my dh in his Class A's (Army Dress uniform equivalent to the pickle suit). He doesn't wear it often and I keep forgetting to get a recent picture.

Hope you have a great weekend

Blessings
Melody
