How Wonderful Art Thou...
I walk at night beneath majestic skies
And know behind them is a God all-wise,
Who fixed all stars, each in its lonely place,
And wrapped them in a darkened robe of space.
(Chorus)
O mighty God, how wonderful art Thou
To love the world while heav'ns before Thee bow.
I fail to comprehend it all some how.
O mighty God, how wonderful art Thou.
I see the moon, the stars in distant space,
And think of how the God of matchless grace
Is coming in the clouds to claim His own -
Such wonders that on earth cannot be known.
(Chorus)
O mighty God, how wonderful art Thou
To love the world while heav'ns before Thee bow.
I fail to comprehend it all some how.
O mighty God, how wonderful art Thou.
I scan the heav'ns with rapture in my soul
And wonder how the God Who made the whole
Could ever fix His thoughts on such as I
And give His Son upon the cross to die.
(Chorus)
O mighty God, how wonderful art Thou
To love the world while heav'ns before Thee bow.
I fail to comprehend it all some how.
O mighty God, how wonderful art Thou.
O mighty God, how wonderful art Thou.

taken from Majesty Hymns hymnal
" Many, O LORD my God,
are thy wonderful works which thou hast done,
and thy thoughts which are to us-ward:
they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee:
if I would declare and speak of them,
they are more than can be numbered."

This reminds me of going to the ocean and I can just feel Him saying, "Be still and know I am God". Awesome!

Hi HsKubes,
Thank you very much for posting this hymn in your blog. The song has been running in my head for three days now. I have learned this song 15 years ago, in a biennial conference during my early days as a Christian. I was wondering why it just pop into my head every time I wanted to sing, but I just forgot most of its lyrics, and I couldn't get the title ( haha!) So I wrote down two lines and read through all the google wall.
The song has been a tremendous blessing to me during my younger days and I would like to keep it in my heart.
Thank you and God bless to you and your family. I'm sorry I didn't know how to address you. I am aiming to create my own blog soon and hope to connect with you.
In Christ,
Maivi
How beautiful are those words? I was searching for the words of a chorale number that we did in Choir about 30 years ago. I think that these words are those or nearly the same. Thanks for posting this. I never forgot them, and I know that Go will never forget us. This has been very meaningful to me. God Bless!
Was looking for these words to post on FB today after hearing about the changes to the Zodiac, and Google brought me to your page. Thank you for a being a testimony to God's amazing grace and a blessing to all who are directed here. Music playing was beautiful too!
