Delays...

Continuing with a wee bloggie break
but wanted to post an update...
My beloved (along with a couple of hundred other Marines)
has encountered some unexpected delays
as he is making his journey home.
We continue in prayer and anticipation
as we await his wonderful arrival
and, truly, appreciate your continued prayers.

"My brethren, count it all joy
when ye fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this,
that the trying of your faith worketh patience."
~ James 1:2-3

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee.
Trust ye in the LORD for ever:
for in the LORD JEHOVAH
is everlasting strength:"
~ Isaiah 26:3-4

I am praying for your husband and the others to get back safely and as soon as possible.

You have picked one of my favorite verses to comfort your heart. I am sure that you know but I just want to tell you that this verse DOES work when obeyed. I love it and the peace it has given me many times. I know it will you also. I can't wait for the day that you are all together again. love you, connie from Texas

Oh goody, Christina! Is your hubby coming home for good? Probably the answer is in your blog, but I don't have time to read the whole thing...

dear Christina! We're all waiting here with abaited breath...can't imagine your anticipation! Praying here..

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

God knows you are able!!! Bless you!

Hello from the very cold Michigan. We continue to pray for dad's safe return home. Message to my little brother -- "Get home to your family, tell the boss it's your time now." We love you all and hope that you'll return home to your family (where you belong) - really, really soon. God's blessings on safe travels.

Love, Lena & Family

Ugh. Delays. Praying that they delays will be over soon and you can hug your beloved soon.

I remember in 2003 we had delays on the return trip from Kosovo. Its so hard to be patient, but the plane had problems, so we were willing to wait to ensure the safety of the airplane and its cargo!

Praying for a quick return. Hugs

I know how those delays go. My sister-in-law has encountered many delays and schedule changes when her hubby has come home from Iraq before. In fact....when he came home for R&R last year he was told they would be delayed a day and then the next thing she knew she got a call at 4:00 in the morning that he was at the base and needed picked up. I'm sure it can get frustrating. But God specializes in delays (although they aren't delays to Him). The is probably something He is trying to protect your hubby from.

Love you!

I hope the delays won't be horribly long. Is this his last trip over, or will he be sent back eventually. Oh, I hope he never has to go back again!

My prayers are with you as you wait those last eternal little bit.

I hope you didn't have to wait too long this morning for his return. (Hope he really returned!) I'd say you probably got some rest, but after 13 months, that probably waited a bit. :-) See you Sunday!

Rebekah

btw, I really like the music you have playing on your blog
