Shabbat and Yom Teruah!

We have been excited this week
to learn about,
and today to celebrate,
Shabbat (the Sabbath)
and Yom Teruah
(The Feast of Trumpets)

It continues to be an amazing journey
as we learn more about our Creator, our Messiah,
through studying His Sabbath and His feasts!

Shabbat/Yom Teruah supper...
Apple and barley bake, basil carrots,
and honey cake! Mmmm!

Blowing of the Shofar Cake!

We look forward to learning more,
walking in His way,
and drawing nearer to Him
in this upcoming year.

Shalom!

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying,
In the seventh month,
in the first day of the month,

shall ye have a sabbath,
a memorial of blowing of trumpets,
an holy convocation.
Leviticus 23:23-24

I like the cake and the drawings by the children! We celebrated our first Yom Teruah this year, as well. We were so excited to listen to the shofar and see the new moon sighted over Jerusalem (via this modern miracle called the internet). We've always looked forward to His return.. Now we know what to listen for! :o)

Carmen ~ I have enjoyed participating. It has been a blessing to me, as we are new to this, as well. I hope you had a blessed Shabbat/Yom Teruah, too. :o)

Tammy ~ Thank you. I'm thrilled that y'all were able to celebrate together! We, too, were able to listen to the shofar and see the new moon. It was exciting, indeed! Yes, very much looking forward to His return. :o)
