Things have kept busy here
in our haven at home.
Last week, Daddy made a trip to New York.
We missed him but it was nice to hear
about his trip and see a photo of him
near the Statue of Liberty!
While he was away,
we began picking up the pace a little
with our homeschooling endeavors. ;o)
We were, also, able to meet with a homeschool family
that we have 'known' online a few years.
It was such a blessing to have fellowship
with another homeschooling family
and to spend the whole day together!
In learning, we have been busy
studying the Biblical fall feasts.
This past week/weekend and yesterday,
we studied about The Day of Atonement
(or Yom Kippur).
It was such a blessing to study
the Levitical sacrifices/practices
and to see how Jesus Christ (Yeshua Messiah)
fulfilled those practices and sacrifices!
We discussed many things! Among them was
the procedure for the Levitical priests to enter
into the Holy of Holies
(the most sacred part of the temple/tabernacle);
the types of sacrifices they needed to make
for the atonement of their and the nations sins;
and how Jesus (Yeshua)
is/was our eternal atoning sacrifice
and He is our High Priest!
"In Whom we have redemption
through His blood,
the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of His grace"
(Ephesians 1:7)
Among the many Scriptures we read
was the book of Jonah.
We read and discussed the Father's great mercy,
love, and longsuffering for all.
Will read it aloud to us
Jonah illustrations
And in the midst of our days,
we have been enjoying the comforts of home
and being together...
Pajama tea party behind the sofa
Snuggling with our 'furry sister'... ;o)
Enjoying games together...
The victory pose ;o) lol
We continue this week with our learning
and look forward to studying the upcoming
Feast of Tabernacles/Succot!
May you, too, have a blessed week
as you seek and serve Him!

Great week! Where did you get the neat Biblical Holy Day worksheets? Have a wonderful week Christina!
Stephanie ~ yes, busy AND blessed, indeed. ;o) Shalom!
Jane ~ The one color page with the temple and two goats is from Robin Sampson's (HOW) book; the two pages that compare the Levitical practices and what Yeshua did is from the new Biblical holiday book I got called Celebrating our Messiah in the Festivals.... I shared it here: http://hskubes.blogspot.com/2010/09/mail-call-learning-biblical-holidays.html
The color page of the two goats on the mountain with Scripture is a print from online (akidsheart) and the drawing is Carolynne's. ;o)
