There are many things I miss,
not having our eldest at home.
The list really is endless.
One of those things
is our daily tea time.
We would take tea together...
sometimes it was brief,
sometimes not.
Sometimes in deep conversation,
sharing our hearts,
sometimes reading a book together,
or even sometimes at separate computers
but in the same room.
Every day at tea time,
I miss her more.
This week we sent her
a couple of care packages.
I know she's been enjoying her tea
in various places on her college campus.
One of the things I added to her package
was a bag of teas, tea squeezer,
and a new tea wallet I made recently for her.
I filled it with her favorite tea,
one of mine, and a new one I found.
This one has green,
because she loves green.
And tea,
because she loves tea.
Made with love,
because her mama loves her dearly.
If you are cold, tea will warm you.
If you are too heated, it will cool you.
If you are depressed, it will cheer you.
If you are excited, it will calm you.

What a wonderful idea! I wonder if I made it more masculine if it would be a good gift for a man. My father is an avid tea drinker. I think I will be making these for Christmas gifts. Thank you for sharing. I so enjoy your blog, it is beautiful and calming, a nice place to visit w/a cup of tea. ;-)

It's so pretty! Love that fabric. My daughter enjoys hot tea occasionally, but both of us prefer iced tea. You can take the girls out of The South . . . LOL
How sweet! Your post makes me miss her, too! I remember when my sister went away to Hyles-Anderson, and how deeply my heart ached for her presence. Sending hugs to you, my friend, across the miles.
These are SO PRETTY! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fabric! You really should get a store on etsy.com and sell these! I am being really serious. Consider it!
Such a sweet idea, Christina. It's beautiful, and I know she will love it!
Christine ~ I think it would make an excellent gift for a man that likes to drink tea. There are many, wonderful masculine fabrics out there! ;o) One day I hope to make one, but I have, yet, to know a man that like tea (and is a relative). ;o) If you do them for gifts, I'd love to see!
Thank you for your kind words. It is a blessing to know this is a place that is a delight to visit and glorifies Him. :o)
Susan ~ Thank you. I had to do green because that's her favorite color. ;o) For years I only drank sweet tea (southern girl, too... Arkansas) and when I first tried hot tea, I actually hated it! But I finally found one that I love and continue to enjoy a regular tea time. ;o) So relaxing!
Valerie ~ Aw... My post made me miss her more, too. ;o) Thank you for the hugs. They are a blessing.
Jaime Lynn ~ Thank you. Perhaps, one day I may have time to make and sell things. Thank you for the encouragement. ;o)
Tammy ~ When I saw this idea, I just loved it! And now that we are not having our tea together, I thought she could use her own tea wallet. Thank you, friend. ;o)
