Haven at Home Happenings...

It's been a full week here!

We were blessed to have Daddy at home
all day on Monday, as he had the day off.
We enjoyed our time with him
and enjoyed having supper outside, too!

Daddy and Will went shopping together
to pick up a new lawnmower for Will to use.
Will was very eager to try it out
and did a wonderful job!

He was cheered on
by his youngest sister...

Also, Daddy was able to get a new couch
for our family room,
which is much more comfortable
than the camping chairs we've been using. ;o)

Daddy and I brought it into the house one evening
as the children were sleeping.
I woke the next morning
to find them gathered on it,
reading books together.
A joyous sight!

Our first (and second) care package
went out to our eldest this week.
This was a strange event...
usually our care packages are for Daddy
when he is overseas on deployment...
It was bittersweet to put them together
for our eldest daughter.
But we delighted in blessing her
with a variety of treats!

Beth helped to string flowers
onto a string for a lei for Ally's head
for an upcoming luau she'll be going to.
Beth enjoyed stringing flowers for her sister...

And, of course, added to those care packages
were hand written, heart felt letters...

We, also, managed to fit in a little "school time".
The children did some seatwork on their own
(and together)...

Beth and Carolynne took turns reading
from a science book

This week we focused on
learning about Yom Teruah
(The Feast of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah).

It has been such a joy to learn about
the feasts our Creator has set aside!
We look forward to learning much more
this upcoming year!

We look forward to His day of rest
before beginning a new week.
I hope you have had a blessed week, as well,
and find your rest in Him.

"And ye shall seek me, and find me,
when ye shall search for me
with all your heart."
