Mama's Barber Shop...

A word of advice...
I know we've heard it before
but just a friendly reminder...
When you in the midst of your day,
having a friendly chat on the phone with a friend
(or involved in something else, for that matter)
and you are enjoying the rare but pleasant silence
throughout your house... BEWARE!

You may want to check on those
that are being so quiet.
They may be in the bathroom cutting each other's hair!
(classic, I know... lol)

That's what mine were doing...

Thankfully, it was not a large tragedy
and Mama was able to reasonably fix it for now
(a few inches and a few layers).

It was, also, a learning lesson for them (and me!)
and an opportunity to discuss God's Word
regarding a few matters. ;o)

Thank you, LORD, for the reminder to this mama:
"Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks,
and to look well to thy herds." ~ Proverbs 27:23

I think this happens with almost every child. LOL! :D It is hard when they do it, but you can always look back and laugh later. :D Have a great day!

My littest guy has a chunk out of the front of his hair as we speak.... I dont know when or where it happened.. NO ONE is fessing up...
Their hair at least looks cute! it could have been tragic.. but, a classic little bobish style isnt all that bad to look at while its growing :P

I cut my hair when I was little :P I wanted bangs!

When my oldest was a year old my niece and her were playing upstairs at their house and my niece came down with a cup full of hair...that was the longest flight of stairs. Thankfully her hair was easily fixed too.

You did a good job fixing it. And thankfully hair does grow back

Oh my!! We have had similar situations. Whenever I get too distracted it seems. My Abby decided she was an artist one day and took a pencil to my hallway walls. She and I took a couple of hours with a magic eraser cleaning them. You can't even tell with there hair. You seem like such a good and laid back mom!!

My sister and I did that (with bangs) when we were younger. My daughter did it a few years ago. I really believe it's something that kids do for some reason. It doesn't make it any easier to deal with though, and yes, it's a teachable moment...

LOL ~ we've had that happen with a couple of different ones at our house. Perhaps it came about unexpectedly, but the girls' new "do" looks very nice. Good save, Mama! :o)

Yes.. IT's happened to me also, my fear was always my two girls cutting their hair, But it was the boy, he cut all his beautiful golden locks completely off. Yes I was so proud, but now humble. lol

OH NO! lol At least you already had the Christmas photos done. I see they are still smiling. :) It's hard to remember to tell them all the don't in life until it's a little too late. lol I don't think that ever happened around here - except on dolls and you should see one of our horse's haircuts right now - the poor thing. (but I hold my peace lest the "stylist" melt in a puddle of tears) Good resuce job Christina!

I remember when I was in kindergarten, I had hair down to my rear end. One Saturday afternoon, I got the scissors out of the drawer in the kitchen and cut off a little snippet of hair and through it in the trash. For some reason, just 1 little snippet wasn't enough. I kept going back and would cut a snippet until I had cut all the hair on the right side of my head all the way up to the ear. My poor Mother cried when she saw what I had done. After having to have my hair cut off like a boy, it never did grow out like that again. My hair still will not grow that long any more. It stops at the middle of my shoulders.
