Cheddar Garlic Biscuits...

An all-time family favorite!



Cheddar Garlic Biscuits

1 1/2 cups unbleached flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
3 tsp baking powder
2 tsp sugar
1/4 to 1/2 tsp salt
1 TBS garlic powder
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or mexican blend)
1 cup milk

In a large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal,
baking powder, sugar, salt, and garlic powder.
Cut in butter and mix with fork until mixture is crumbly.
Stir in cheese and milk just until moistened.

Drop by heaping tablespoons onto greased baking sheet.
Bake at 450 for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Mmm!

Oh, I think I can smell these across state lines! Yummm... I think I might use this recipe tomorrow for our dinner to go along with our Potato and leek soup.

Yummy! Yummy! I don't use a recipe for regular biscuits, but I'm too chicken to go recipeless for cheddar garlic biscuits. Hopefully I'll get to try these soon.
