Another full week has gone by
here at our Haven at Home.
We have enjoyed what the Lord has been revealing
and teaching us, seeing Him work in hearts,
and the abundant blessings He gives!
During a few brief moments this morning,
I wanted to share a few snapshots from our week...
Carolynne practicing her letter writing and sounds.
She says the short sound of the letter
each time she writes it.
This has been very helpful in teaching
her to read this year.
Beth working in her Language Lessons.
She has enjoyed learning new letter combinations
and has already become quite the reader.
Will was assigned this living book for History,
which he finished in one sitting! He loves to read,
which is a blessing to my heart!
Ally enjoyed playing with her instruments
as she is trying to compile and record a variety of music
to a cd so her and her friend can sing to it.
Will reading aloud The Tales of Beatrix Potter
to his much intrigued sisters
Enjoying a cool evening out-of-doors
Funny how amusing this parrot has been for our family.
He repeats everything you say
and our eldest found it quite entertaining this week!
Speaking of our eldest, she frequently enjoys
writing our supper special on our menu board.
Yesterday her wits got the best of her
as she was a little too overjoyed in writing
what our special was... this was, mostly, to humor Dad,
because he is Polish and what she wrote
goes along with a little jesting that we have in our family.
Can you figure it out and why it's so humorous to us?
This afternoon, we look forward to enjoying
sourdough pizza day with our friends,
whose Daddy just returned home from Iraq this week!
It will be a lovely night of food and fellowship!
Hope you've enjoyed your week, too!
"Blessed be the Lord,
who daily loadeth us with benefits,
even the God of our salvation. Selah."
~ Psalm 68:19

What a blessed week you had indeed!
Thank you for sharing pictures with us!
May you have a wonderful weekend and even better week next week!
Blessings,
Dawn
I absolutely am always blessed when I see pics of your family and whatever is going on in your home!
Pro 31:27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
This older sister in Christ is proud of you :-)
Hi Christina,
You are so good at taking pictures always - I hope to be like you someday :). Carolynne is so cute - what book is she learning her letters from - it looks like a goody. And yes, I can read the menu - what does that mean? Am I dyslexic (sp?)
Dawn ~ Thank you. It was good to hear from you!
Kate ~ Thank you so much for your kind words. They are such an encouragement and blessing. {{hugs}}
PlainJane ~ I try to keep my camera somewhere I can grab it. My mom said to me years ago about not having many pictures after her third child was born so I wanted to purpose to have lots of pics for them to enjoy one day, too. Plus, my sweetie made it a little easier when he bought me my camera. ;o)
Regarding the menu special, it's a standing joke in our family that Polish people tend to do things backwards (my beloved it Polish and just kinda brought this idea into our family, though we understand this does not apply to all Polish people), so when we were having Polish Alfredo, Ally thought she would tickle Daddy by writing it backwards for him. lol It worked. ;o)
