Simple Woman's Daybook...

For Today... January 12, 2009

Outside my window...
it is still dark and quiet

I am thinking...
of what our upcoming week holds

From the learning rooms...
we continue adapting to more structure

and implementing some different things

I am thankful for...
the Lord hears and answers our prayers...
for teaching me how to pray and how to love more

From the kitchen...
coffee, coffee, coffee waits to fill my cup

On the menu...
M ~ wet burritos
T ~ easy chicken & rice
W ~ lasagna
Th ~ stir fry
F ~ sourdough pizza

I am wearing...

lined, peach floral square neck dress

I am reading...
through my Bible in a year (for the 1st time!)

currently Genesis, Psalm, and Matthew {KJB}
Laying Down the Rails, The Way Back (listed in my sidebar)

I am hoping (praying)...
again, for our week to go well as we adjust to more consistency

and that Jesus Christ will be (and remain)
the center of our home education, as well as our lives;
continuing to pray for friends and family
that are currently going through rough times;
that the Lord will teach me to love more like He does

I am creating...
pink paisley dress for Beth

I am hearing...
the heater blowing and gentle noises from the monitors

Around the house...
Our usual Monday house blessing is needed

One of my favorite things...
spending time and enjoying a cup of coffee
with my beloved early in the morning
before he leaves for work

A few plans for the rest of the week...
focus on home education and routine;

go to piano lessons that our eldest teaches;
take Ally (our eldest) to the cardiologist;
attend midweek prayer service;
go to our homeschool group park day;
contnue to enjoy my husband, our children, life

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

What a blessing it was, last night, when Will
shared his burden for lost souls, fighting tears,
and sharing that the Lord may be calling him
to be a preacher some day.
What a blessing and responsibility to answer the call
to pray for our children!

"That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth;
that our daughters may be as corner stones,
polished after the similitude of a palace"
~ Psalm 144:12

"I have no greater joy than to hear
that my children walk in truth."
~ 3 John 1:4
