Simple Woman's Daybook...
For Today... January 5, 2009
Outside my window...
it is quiet and dark
but the sky is just beginning to lighten
I am thinking...
of the details of our upcoming day
From the learning rooms...
we will begin more structured learning moments together
I am thankful for...
the Holy Spirit teaching me
and for God's perfect, preserved Word
From the kitchen...
the aroma of coffee beckons me
and dishes from the weekend await washing.
On the menu...
M ~ tacos
T ~ sloppy joes
W ~ green bean & rice casserole
Th ~ chicken alfredo
F ~ sourdough pizza
I am wearing...
tan regency gown
I am reading...
Genesis, Psalm, and Matthew {KJB}
Laying Down the Rails
I am hoping (praying)...
for our week to go well as we adjust to more consistancy
and that Jesus Christ will be (and remain)
the center of our home education, as well as our lives
I am creating...
dresses for Carolynne's upcoming birthday
I am hearing...
the heater blowing and gentle noises from the monitors
assuring that all are still sleeping
Around the house...
things are 'back to normal' after moving our
living room and reading room back the way the were
(with minor adjustments and additions),
Mount Washmore needs more chiseling,
and a basic blessing (cleaning) is needed
One of my favorite things...
being in God's house (a spiritual oasis)
A few plans for the rest of the week...
focus on home education and routine;
go to piano lessons that our eldest teaches;
attend midweek prayer service;
celebrate our youngest's birthday;
enjoy my husband, our children, life
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
What a blessed promise!
"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD:
though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow..."
~ Isaiah 1:18
