Pretty in Pink... Paisley

With our surprise of snow this week
and my beloved having a few days off,
we have done little structured learning.
It was a blessing, though,
as I was able to finish Beth's new dress.

She picked the fabric herself...

round neckline, zipper back, puff sleeves,
with a pink ribbon tie

"She seeketh wool, and flax,
and worketh willingly with her hands."
~ Proverbs 31:13

**Edited to add, per request**
I cannot recall the exact pattern this is
(I trace all of my patterns and once I become familiar
with how to make them they don't always
return to their proper envelope/bag)
but, I believe, it is one of the following:

Common Sense Patterns #10F1: Girls "Plain and Full" Dress
or
Simplicity #8690: Child's Dress and Pinafore
(I'm not sure if this is still available. It is an older pattern.
But I found it at the link above.)

I hope that is helpful for those that may be
searching for a few modest, girl's patterns.

I LOVE the fabric she chose! It's beautiful. I know a lot of love and work went into the making of that dress too, so God bless her mama!

Thank you so much Christina! I was very happy to see you stopped by. I'm honoured!

Love the dress. I'd wouldn't mind a skirt in that fabric ;)

Glad you had snow!

Paisley is a beautiful printed fabric. I once had a skirt in a lavender paisley print, it was lovely, but I gave it to another Sister in Christ who was in need of modest clothing. :)

You have a wonderful gift, the gift of sewing.
The ladies at my church have offered to teach me to sew and I am greatful for that, but sewing has to begin in the heart first and right now, my heart is not interested in sewing. Maybe later on in the year...

I hope your week is going well for all of you! Mine has just flown right on by but it's been a blessed week. :)

Take care,
Dawn in TX

I think pink paisley on a little girl is adorable. And your little girl confirms that!

Good job!

Hope you are still enjoying the snow.
