El Shaddai Offeratory...

Sunday evening, Ally played an offeratory.
She chose the song "El Shaddai",

using her own rendition of it
that she composed Sunday afternoon.
Here's the video...

You can stop the background music on my blog
in the left sidebar.

Hope y'all had a blessed Lord's Day!

How beautiful!
I, too, am blessed with a daughter that loves the piano. It's such a joy to hear the instrument played for the Lord!
God bless,
Ronda

Wow! She plays beautifully. Has she had formal lessons?

Do you play, Christina?

I'm just so happy for her in all her musical ability! Such beauty that she will bless and be blessed by for a lifetime here on Earth!

Beautiful! She may already be doing this, but if you use the weight of your wrist (dropping your wrist) instead of pushing with your fingers, you get a much smoother forte/emphasis. :D I really like her arrangement, it was beautiful. One of my favorite songs, too.

WOW! Such a gifted young lady and a beautiful arrangement. A blessing to the church family and to us as well. Yes, I would like to know too - has she had any formal training or have you taught her, or is this completely what God has gifted her?

Thank you, ladies, for your kind words and encouragement!

I do not play the piano at all, though I have always wanted to learn. ;o)
Ally began lessons when she was about 8 (almost 9) years old. She had a series of three teenage teachers over a span of four years (sporatically, though, due to military moving) and then she spent a year with our previous pastor's wife learning. When she went without a teacher, she would continue to practice and try to teach herself new things. After the year with her last teacher, we knew she could continue on by herself and has been self-taught since then. It's a blessing to have her practice/play throughout the day. And just recently she has begun making her own arrangements, which has been a delight for us to hear! ;o)

Thank you, again, for your kind words. They are such an encouragement to her (and me).

~ Christina
