Simple Woman's Daybook...

For today... March 2, 2009


Outside my window...
a gray overcast is hiding the sun
as there's a possibility of snow(!),
our family of yard squirrels
is seeking bird seed in the back yard.


I am thinking...
of what a blessing it will be
to get the two inches of snow that was forecasted.


I am thankful for...
a Heavenly Father that hears and answers prayer,
Jesus Christ, Who is interceding on our behalf,
and the Holy Spirit, Who helps me to pray.


From the learning rooms...
we will get busier after taking most of last week off
to do some extra cleaning and organizing...
continuing to learn about Ancient Egypt
while finishing our read aloud;
learning about Japan and praying for missionairies there,
and continue with other miscellaneous seatwork.


From the kitchen...
the aroma of coffee fills the air,
the dishes have already been done from the weekend(!),
and the fridge is awaiting the new menu


I am wearing...
a jumper with a plaid bodice and a gray, six-panel skirt
(and a new haircut... nothing drastic...
just a couple of inches shorter with some long layers) ;o)


I am creating...
a white regency dress to go with the (mostly) finished pelisse


I am reading...
through my KJB in a year...
currently in Leviticus, Psalms, and Mark;
Desperate Housewives Passionate for God;
The Titanic's Last Hero


I am hoping (praying)...
for family and friends' spiritual needs;
for the Lord to increase my love and zeal for Him;
for our upcoming King James Bible Conference


I am hearing...
the heater blowing and quiet noise from the monitors


Around the house...
a little home blessing (cleaning) is needed;
all the children are sleeping and the dog, too. ;o)


One of my favorite things...
when the Holy Spirit speaks to my heart


A few plans for the rest of the week...
focus on our learning at home;
go to piano lessons that our eldest teaches;
attend our midweek prayer and Bible service;
have fun at our homeschool group park day;
embrace and make the most out of
whatever we encounter this week;
enjoy my beloved and our children
