Show and Tell Friday...

It's been a while since I've participated
in Kelli's Show and Tell Friday,
but I thought I'd share a few thrift store finds from last week...

For quite some time I've hoped to get a lace tablecloth
for our dining room table so I was tickled to find these
at only a few dollars a piece...

This bicentennial one was an additional blessing!

I was, also, able to find a few cloth/linen tablecloths...

I was, also, looking for a couple of new tea cups
and found a set of 8 made in occupied Japan,
with dinner and dessert plates, too...

It had been a long time since I had gone "thrifting" last.

In addition to the temporal treasures we found,
the real treasure was spending the morning with our girls. ;o)

Everything is SO pretty! I found a crochet table cloth at a garage sale for .50 last summer. It ended up being too big for my table, and so now my MIL owns it ;), but still I just love lacy, and crochet table cloths.

The bicentennial one is so neat! Love the tea cups too.

Hope you all have a great weekend

Those tablecloths are SO pretty!! I especially love the second one. Is each petal made crocheted? Or are they whole pieces worked in?? Lovely!

And your teacup! So feminine!! Sure I would enjoy my tea even more in that cup!!

You got some beautiful blessings! I was excited to see your Sango china. My mother's brother was stationed in the Navy in Japan in the early 60s and bought her a set of Sango china. It's white with a silver rim - very plain but goes with everything - and I inherited it when she passed away. I've never seen any Sango owned by someone I knew, so it made my day to see the name. Your cups are beautiful!

The tablecloths and tea cups are so pretty! I guess you can figure out how old the bicentennial one is. ;) LOL Do I hear a history lesson approaching? ;) Just kidding. Isn't it neat how everyday objects can provide opportunities to learn?

Congrats on your finds and your morning with your girls.
