Simple Woman's Daybook...

For Today...

Outside my Window...
the birds were joyfully singing,
the morning sky is changing to a light blue
as the sun wakens

I am thinking...
of yesterday's Truths and applying them more fully

From the learning rooms...
continuing with implementation of our schedule...
further study in Genesis,
along with other home learning.

I am thankful for...
more answered prayers;
the visitors we had at church Sunday morning;
finishing Beth & Carolynne's dresses;
Daddy and Will going on
our church's soulwinning blitz on Saturday;
the years the Lord has given me
with my husband and children

From the kitchen...
the aroma of coffee beckons me...
banana oatmeal chocolate chip muffins for breakfast;
leftovers for lunch;
mexican casserole for supper

I am wearing...
dark blue, floral cotton dress

I am reading...
the book of 1 Samuel {KJB}
(read this morning how the Philistines
took the Ark of the Covenant from the Israelites
and the Lord smote them with emerods

{I got to use Webster for that one}),
the book of Matthew {KJB},
and Laying Down the Rails

I am hoping...
our home learning goes consistently;
we close on our house after a "hiccup" last week

I am creating...
a new regency gown for me
and bloomers for the lil' girls,
time permitting and Lord willing

I am hearing...
quite hums from the 'baby' monitor
and my son crunching cereal

Around the house...
everyone, but Will and I, are sleeping
but will be awakened soon,
we will chisel at Mount Washmore,
bless the rest of our home,
focus on our home learning,
and enjoy the day at home together

One of my favorite things...
being in God's Word with my children

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...
homeschool, house blessing, work on sewing,
go to piano lessons that Ally teaches,
finish scanning an ebook for our church website,
attend our midweek service

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

This photo, that we took from our front yard,
reminds me of this Truth...

"If ye then be risen with Christ,
seek those things which are above,
where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above,
not on things on the earth. "
~ Colossians 3:1-2

I just love these Daybooks and getting to know what you all are up too. Sorry to hear about the closing hiccup, I hope all goes well this week. I'm glad we are both doing Genesis "together". So happy to see some churches and families still do soulwinning - I wish more would.

Have a wonderful week my friend!
