Weekend Whim...
Being a military wife,
I think that many times,
somewhere between
one to three years
of being at a particular place,
I, inadvertently, get
an itch for change.
Changing my blog this week
was, apparently, not enough.
I spent the day today
rearranging furniture
in our living room & reading room.
As a matter of fact,
I switched the rooms completely.
After moving a couch, rocking chair, piano, stereo, amoire,
six bookshelves, rolling up two rugs, cleaning floors
and baseboards, and rolling the rugs back out I was finished!
(well, mostly, finished... I still have organizing to do)
I have no doubt that I will sleep well tonight,
though, perhaps, a little sore. ;o)
I do love rearranging furniture, though!
It has been a full week for us
and I am very much looking forward
to being in the Lord's house tomorrow.
I hope you all have a blessed Lord's Day.
"LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house,
and the place where thine honour dwelleth."

Thank you for blessing me with reassurance in my thought process. I'm awaiting the arrival of that same book ..anxiously I might add too!
Your blog entry was a tug on my heart also as I look around and see areas of my home that I want to change..hehe! Another time, another season.
Thank you for your visit.

I love the new look. I to love change. I think it's good for us. I think because I stay home for school. I like to change things around more so. I hope all is well at your house.
Warm hugs from me.

Your blog looks really nice. I love the soft colors.
Hi Christina,
Wow, a new look - very nice so far!! I guess I'm not so much of a rearranger - I mull over things forever to get it just perfect and then never change it. lol I think it's partly because we have so many windows that I am limited in where things can go. I hope you show your rooms when all finished.
Have a Blessed Lord's Day my Friend!
The new look to the blog is very pretty.
I understand the feeling of restlessness that hits after a couple of years. For me its every 2 yrs, because that's how often we have moved in the past. It nearly drove me to distraction when we were stationed somewhere for 4 yrs. By then I had "settled" and didn't want to go! (silly I know):)
Blessings
Although not a military wife, I grew up the child of a Career Navy officer. My habit of rearranging furniture, and "itching" for change in the house came with me to my marriage, and at first drove my dear sweet husband nuts, but now, 29 years later, he understands why I do it, and offers help with the heavy things now :) (for more than a dozen years, I would move my piano alone, no more though!!!)
