Strengthen Thy Brethren...

"And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold,
Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not:
and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren."
~ Luke 22:31

My soul is stirred and my heart is grieved...

In Christ's church, among His children, born-again believers,
tolerance of sin, acceptance of sin, and participation in sin
is on the rise.

We praise God in one breath
and He is mocked in our actions.

There is so much tolerance, acceptance, participation in sin
that there is such an absence of separation, of righteousness,
of godliness, of boldness in love and in Truth.

Brethren are growing weary, are growing weak, are faltering,
are compromising, are stumbling, are falling away.

May we examine our own hearts and our own lives.
May we take notice of the brethren. May we encourage them.

May we return to our knees and cry out in prayer...

"...that thy faith fail not... strengthen thy brethren."

Revive Your church, Lord. Revive Your people.

Amen! I have so been thinking of posting something along the same lines! Sometimes the sin around us, even among professing christians, is so overwhelming, you just get weary!

This is so true Sister!! May we all be mindful that we are all capable of being guilty of these things in our own daily lives. God help us!!

I have just found your blog again and have enjoyed it so much, I've added it to my favorites. I noticed the sell of your home. Is your husband being moved with the military? We just had a military move and are getting use to a new area. I hope all goes well.

Amen! There is so much spiritual blindness and ignorance of God's Truth - in the world, in the church, and with church leadership. How it must grieve the Holy Spirit and how merciful He must be to wait yet a little longer.

Thank you, ladies, for the words of encouragement! Let's keep praying!

Mrs. Trixi ~ We are not making a military move right now. We moved two years ago and left a house behind. That is the house the Lord sold and we are rejoicing!
Thank you for visiting!
