For today...
Tuesday, November 23, 2010
Outside my window...
the sky is darkened by night,
faint sounds of the city can be heard
I am thinking...
about how much I need
His mercy, grace, and strength
I am thankful ...
I am not alone,
for He is always with me
and will never leave me
nor forsake me
I am wearing...
cream, square neck dress
with burgundy floral print,
black hoodie, wool socks
with a brown, fringed covering
that is tied in a bun
I am remembering...
how Yeshua is compassionate
and sympathetic,
how He understands my trials,
how He cares,
how He is my Friend, my Brother,
my Master, my Bridegroom
I am reading...
Ezekiel, Matthew,
and portions from
Genesis {Torah portion};
"Restoration" by D. Thomas Lancaster;
"Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus" by Ann Spangler, Lois Tverberg
I am hoping (praying)...
for wisdom, for guidance,
for grace, for strength
On my mind ...
"Seeing then that we have a great High Priest,
that is passed into the heavens,
Yeshua the Son of Elohim,
let us hold fast our profession.
For we have not an High Priest
which cannot be touched
with the feeling of our infirmities
{unable to sympathize with our weaknesses};
but was in all points tempted like as we are,
yet without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly
unto the throne of grace {favour},
that we may obtain mercy {compassion},
and find grace {favour}
to help in time of need."
(Hebrews 4:14-16)
From the learning rooms...
taking the week off...
natural learning continues
Noticing that...
how easy it is and how so many
are willingly blind and deaf
to spiritual things...
to Truth.
How easy it is
and how many of us
are not doers of the Word
but hearers only.
That there is an, overall,
lack of love for our Father
and for our Savior,
as there is such a lack in obedience.
I grieve.
May there be t'shuvah...
a repentance...
a turning back to Him...
Pondering these words ...
"For this people's heart
is waxed gross {thickened, calloused},
and their ears are dull {hard} of hearing,
and their eyes they have closed;
lest at any time they should
see with their eyes, and hear with their ears,
and should understand with their heart,
and should be converted {turn back, t'shuvah},
and I should heal... them."
~ Yeshua
(Matthew 13:15)
May our hearts not be hardened.
May we not be deaf and blind to Truth.
May we return to Him and be healed.
From the kitchen...
counters shine,
dishes are done,
closed for the night
On the Menu...
T ~ Tacos
W~ Cheesy chicken & noodles
Th ~ Turkey & the fixin's
F ~ Sourdough Pizza
S ~ Chili & Challah
Sun ~ out
I am creating...
projects are on hold this week
I am hearing...
nothing much...
everyone is sleeping...
all I hear are my fingers typing,
a few sounds from the city,
and a mind full of thought
One of my favorite things...
encouragement and comfort
from His Word
A few plans for the rest of the week...
focus on prettying the house,
enjoy husband's time off from work,
welcome our eldest home!!!!!! :o)
and enjoy the many pleasures of home
with the whole family (plus a visitor)!
Here is picture thought I am sharing...
"O give thanks unto YHVH,
for He is good:
for His mercy endureth for ever."
Psalm 107:1
May we offer up our praise
and our thanksgiving
on a DAILY basis.
May we not make the sacrifice of praise
only on a week or month
surrounding a man made holiday...
But may we continue
in a lifestyle of praise and thanksgiving.
Shalom!
