Haven at Home on Wheels...Days 40-42...

Friday was our 40th day in the camper
and we spent it... well, in the camper. ;o)
Part of the day was spent doing some "schoolwork".

Will started going over his math flashcards,
read in our Nature Readers about coyotes, hummingbirds,
and rattlesnakes (since these are in our area)
and narrated to me afterwards.

Beth read through some simple readers
and in our Nature Reader about coyotes and hummingbirds,
then narrated to me, also. I enjoy hearing their narrations!

Carolynne read aloud to Will
and did a few pages in her workbook.

Ally napped, read in her Physics book,
and played with the laser pen with Suzie.
She and I, also, enjoyed tea time in the afternoon,
which was nice!

I pulled my sewing machine out
and began sewing on my new regency dress.
I'm sure it will take a while to finish
(since we'll be pretty busy in the upcoming weeks)
but it was nice to get it started. ;o)

When my beloved arrived home Friday evening,
he took us out to eat at a local Greek cafe. Yum!
We enjoyed our time out together!

On Saturday, Ally and I went grocery shopping
while Daddy took the children on a walk.
The rest of the day was spent
hanging around the camper. ;o)
I did enjoy two walks, though!
One with our eldest and one with my beloved.

On Sunday, it was a blessing to gather
with fellow believers!
We had a Bob Jones mission team visiting
and they provided some special music!
Pastor was in John, chapter 3, verses17-21,
speaking about understanding condemnation
and how in spite of our deserving condemnation and punishment,
God offers us His salvation and love.

He, also, pointed out the perspective
that if you only sin 3 times a day
(which we sin more than that),
that in a year... that's over 1,000 sins...
then multiply that by how old you are!
What a merciful, forgiving Father we have!
What joy that He cleanses us and will save us
and that He is faithful to forgive
so that we can have fellowship with Him...
when we confess to Him.

"If we confess our sins,
he is faithful and just
to forgive us out sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
~ 1 John 1:9

After the service, we enjoyed fellowshipping
then many of us continued our fellowship
at a local restaurant. ;o)

Afterwards, we went to pick up Daddy's truck!
We were glad to get it!

We got back to the camper
and enjoyed relaxing for an hour or so.
Beth and Carolynne shared a few things with us
that they had found the day before
and had stuffed into their explorer bag...

A piece of wood that looks just like a knife!

A piece of wood that looks like a bird head.

It was delightful to hear their excitement
about their rare treasures!

In the evening, we gathered at pastor's house
for our Sunday evening Bible study and supper.
It was a joy to study God's Word with the brethren
and to have discussion about His Truths.
What a blessing it was!

Today the children and I will be
chiseling away at Mount Washmore
and relaxing around the camper.
Lord willing, we will be picking up the key
to our new home tomorrow afternoon!
We are very excited and blessed!
The LORD is good!

"Every day will I bless thee;
and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised;
and his greatness is unsearchable."
~ Psalm 145:2-3

Congratulations on your new home! :) I hope that things go smoothly moving in.

Even though our move is still a few months away, I'm praying for our new place. I told our kids too as well. They were very excited about that. :)

Have a very blessed week!

So glad you'll be getting your key soon. I know you're ready to settle down a bit and move out of the camper. But I also know you've enjoyed the camper time too!

I have to say, Carolynne sure does look like her daddy in that picture holding her treasure.
