Simple Woman's Daybook ~ February 1, 2010

For today... February 1, 2010


Outside my window...
the sun is brightly shining,
there's a freeze in the air


I am thinking...
of what a blessing it is
to see young people love and serve the LORD!


I am thankful for...
how our All Youth Service went last night...
my heart was full!


I am wearing...
blue suede jumper
with floral collared shirt


I am remembering...
the God of all
is in control of all
and that He hears
and answers prayer


I am going...
to enjoy the comforts of home


I am reading...
through my KJ Bible in a year,
{I fell behind last year so I am doing this in a year and a half}
currently in Job, 2 Timothy;
our A to Z Mentoring printouts from church
(just finished C for The Church)
Choosing Gratitude by Nancy Leigh DeMoss (with my eldest);
The Love Dare (and trying to apply it to my marriage and my motherhood);
A Hunger for God by John Piper


I am hoping (praying)...
for the Holy Spirit to work His perfect will
in a recent situation in our lives


On my mind...
what I need to get done this week


From the learning rooms...
continuing with our studies...
in the book of John for Bible;
book of Judges for history;
studying Ancient Greece;
and various things in other subjects


Noticing that...
God is faithful, merciful,
longsuffering, and full of grace


Pondering these words...
"Fear of the unknown
is conquered by
faith in the Unseen"
~ unknown source


From the kitchen...
a few dishes from the weekend
await to their washing;
the fridge awaits its new menu


Around the house...
the children are playing together
in the living room
and our eldest prepares for the day


I am creating...
a menu for the next two weeks


I am hearing...
the younger ones playing in the living room;
Suzie scratching at the door to go outside


One of my favorite things...
seeing our children
loving and serving the LORD!


A few plans for the rest of the week...
work on our homeschool lessons;
take our trip to the grocery store
and to the post office;
upload videos from last night's youth service;
attend our midweek prayer service;
go to Beth's violin lesson;
possibly go to our homeschool park day;
enjoy the comforts of home!

Nothing... no one... ever...
compares or likens to our wonderful and glorious
LORD JEHOVAH !
Tongue cannot tell and words cannot express
His unfathomable greatness!
May we see HIM for Who He is!
