Simple Woman's Daybook...

For today... June 8, 2009

Outside my window...

the sun is brightly shining

I am thinking...
of what the upcoming week will hold

I am thankful for...
our eldest's graduation ceremony
going well and being God-honoring

From the learning rooms...

all formal learning is at a halt
as we visit with family,
though natural learning always continues ;o)

From the kitchen...

a little blessing (cleaning) is needed from the weekend
On the Menu:
M~ Taco Rice Tacos
T ~ Chicken & Pasta with veggies
W ~ Spaghetti/garlic bread
Th ~ Soup or chili with cornbread
F ~ Sourdough Pizza

I am wearing...
a dark blue, floral cotton dress

I am creating...

memories with visiting family

I am reading...
my KJ Bible through in a year,

currently in Judges, Psalms, John;
Pocketful of Pinecones by Karen Andreola;
Praying the Entire Bible for My Family by Joe Zichterman;
Holy Women by James Knox

I am hoping (praying)...

for my brother and his family
to have safe travel as they make their way home

I am hearing...
classical music playing from the kitchen
and Daddy and Will playing RISK at the table
as Carolynne watches and cheers them on

One of my favorite things...
spending time with family

A few plans for the rest of the week...
enjoy visiting with my mama and gramma
while they are here

Here is picture thought I am sharing...

Ally after her graduation ceremony
Praising the Lord for this accomplishment!

"But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ."

Congratulations for Ally!

You must be so very proud of her. Not just for her academic achievements, but more importantly, her spiritual growth as she has become a beautiful young woman for our Lord.

Well done!

Have a great week as you continue to visit with your family. I hope they are all feeling much better now - they must be to make the trip. Ally's balloon cracks me up. Amber showed me the cakes she made on her blog - WOW!!! She could easliy have her own cake decorating business from home - she has a talent that not everyone has (not me anyways). I'm glad to hear the ceremony went well and look forward to hearing more about it with photos. (ps - I loved your envelope - where did you get those?) Congratulations Ally!!! So does she get to sleep in and do nothing all day. LOL.

Have a good week!!! ((hugs))

Mrs Christina, not sure where the problem lies, but we have GREAT internet, and all the other blogs I read load just fine, but yours is slow at best and doesn't load a lot of other times.

Congrats to Ally! We are sad we couldn't share in your joy together. So we are cheering her on from afar! Hopefully we'll see each other again soon sometime.

Congratulations to Ally on this momentous accomplishment. You deserve a lot of credit, too, as her teacher, mentor, and guide. What a blessing to see the fruit of your labor was not in vain. :)

Have a wonderful week!
