Simple Woman's Daybook...

For today... June 1, 2009

Outside my window...

the sun is shining brightly,
promising for a bright and very warm day

I am thinking...
of how our house will be full
and our next two weeks will be busy
(in a good way)

I am thankful for...
a Heavenly Father that cares so much for me

From the learning rooms...

most books are shelved as we host family,
though natural learning still continues

From the kitchen...

a little blessing (cleaning) is needed
On the Menu:
M~ Taco Rice Tacos
T ~ Chicken & Pasta with veggies
W ~ Lasagna/garlic bread
Th ~ Creamy chicken and wild rice soup
F ~ Sourdough Pizza

I am wearing...
a dark blue, floral jumper

I am creating...

nothing right now, due to busyness

I am reading...
my KJ Bible through in a year,

currently in Judges, Psalms, John;
Pocketful of Pinecones by Karen Andreola;
Praying the Entire Bible for My Family by Joe Zichterman;
Holy Women by James Knox

I am hoping (praying)...

our family members arrive safely this week;
my bronchitis heals soon and my voice returns

I am hearing...

the shower running upstairs
and our son watching Kent Hovind

Around the house...
Mount Washmore needs a chiseling
and a few finishing touches need to be added
before family arrives

One of my favorite things...
singing and giving praise to God

A few plans for the rest of the week...

welcome my brother and his family today;
celebrate my birthday;
pick up my mama and my gramma
from the airport on Thursday;
prepare for graduation on Saturday;
visit with and enjoy family ;o)

Here is picture thought I am sharing...

"Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight,
O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer."
~ Psalm 19:14

Hi Christina,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours this very busy week. How fun and exciting to have so much family join you. Sorry to hear that you have been suffering from bronchitis - hope you do get feeling tip top quickly. The book on praying -through the entire Bible sounds good. Yeah Kent Hovind, lol.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll be with you in spirit. BIG (((HUGS))) for a blessed week!!!

Thanks for the pleasant peek into your life today! I also hope you get to feeling better soon and enjoy your company! Natural learing is the best, isn't it? I love when it's time to pack away the text books and rely on real life knowledge for a while. Enjoy your week and thanks again for sharing!
Blessings,
Kristy

Happy Birthday to you!

Hopefully you are better now and you can enjoy this wonderful weekend without any distractions. The Lord blessed you with a wonderful family and we are so happy for Ally. She has worked diligently to come where she is. Brittany and I was watching and learning from you guys and Brittany is not far behind.

Have a blessed weekend with the celebrations!
