Simple Woman's Daybook ~ August 31, 2010

For today...
Tuesday, August 31, 2010

Outside my window...
are clear, blue, cloudless skies
and cool breezes
across the city and hills,
through our windows

I am thinking...
how it has been a while
since I've collected thoughts
to do a daybook...
life has seemed a whirlwind
as of late

I am thankful ...
that though HE does not
always give the answers,
HE always gives HIS grace...
which is sufficient
and all I need.

I am wearing...
black cotton dress,
black and white cotton hoodie jacket,
black cotton covering...
bare feet ;o)

I am remembering...
that the Father, Creator,
has a plan and purpose
far greater than I
could ever conceive...
and HE really is in control,
working things according
to HIS perfect will.

I am reading...
through my KJ Bible,
currently in Ezekiel,
finished NT and have begun, again,
in the book of Matthew
;

lesson in our Sunday evening Bible study
(The Holy Spirit & my home life);
"Real Christianity" by William Wilberforce;
"Seasons of a Mother's Heart" by Sally Clarkson

I am hoping (praying)...
for our eldest, who left for college,
to grow closer to the Savior,
to see HIS truths,
and to obey and follow HIM

On my mind...
HIS very special grace
and peace that passes all understanding

From the learning rooms...
planning for this year will commence...
resources need to be decided on
and ordered...
In the meantime,
we continue with natural learning
and occasional seatwork
that has rolled over from last year. ;o)

Noticing that...
HE is faithful
in calling HIS children to HIM...
revealing HIS truths and way...
and opening blinded eyes...
if we will but listen,
see, and obey.

Pondering these words...

"And he said unto me,
My grace is sufficient for thee:
for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
Most gladly therefore
will I rather glory in my infirmities,
that the power of Christ {Messiah}
may rest upon me."

(2 Corinthians 2:19)

From the kitchen...
the younger ones
are learning
how to serve HIM.

A new menu is being made

Around the house...
all is quiet
as the children are playing outdoors

I am creating...
regency dresses
for the lil' girls

I am hearing...
background music
from my blog...
faint talking from the children
as they play outside

One of my favorite things...
The Comforter,
Who truly comforts!

A few plans for the rest of the week...
make a new menu, grocery list;
go to the commissary/grocery store;
make a homeschool plan
and purchase the resources;
adjust to our eldest not being home;
possible host a couple of ladies
from our church fellowship
and teach them to sew;
search for a couch to purchase
with my beloved;
keep/tend to our home
and enjoy the comforts thereof.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...

"And these words,
which I command thee this day,
shall be in thine heart:
And thou shalt teach them diligently
unto thy children,
and shalt talk of them
when thou sittest in thine house,
and when thou walkest by the way,
and when thou liest down,
and when thou risest up."
(Deuteronomy 6:6-7)

As I plan our upcoming
homeschool year,
I allow HIM to remind me
what our greatest goal is...
teaching of HIM...
of HIS commands...
HIS ways.

Have a blessed week!
