Sharing Southern California Scenes

We can see the beauty
of our Creator's handiwork everywhere,
when we take the time to see it...

We have delighted in the beauty
that we have seen where HE has placed us...

A cloudy, afternoon haze over the downtown view...
and a sober reminder of the vast population
that is in desperate need of the Savior...

"Then saith he unto his disciples,
The harvest truly is plenteous,
but the labourers are few"
(Matthew 9:37)

One of the many bridge clusters on the interstate

"Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest,
that he will send forth labourers into his harvest."
(Matthew 9:38)

... wall of clouds...

nighttime driving...

"And this is the condemnation,
that light is come into the world,
and men loved darkness rather than light,
because their deeds were evil."
(John 3:19)

"To give knowledge of salvation
unto his people by the remission of their sins,
Through the tender mercy of our God;
whereby the dayspring from on high
hath visited us,
To give light to them that sit in darkness
and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace."
(Luke 1:77-79)

One of the many scenes of houses along the hills

The golden mountain/hillsides...

"Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand,
and high is thy right hand.
Justice and judgment are
the habitation of thy throne:
mercy and truth shall go before thy face."
(Psalm 89:13-14)

"Blessed is the people
that know the joyful sound:
they shall walk, O LORD,
in the light of thy countenance.
In thy name shall they rejoice all the day:
and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
For thou art the glory of their strength:
and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
For the LORD is our defence;
and the Holy One of Israel is our king."
(Psalm 89:15-18)

Beautiful sunsets...

"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying,
I am the light of the world:
he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness,
but shall have the light of life."
(John 8:12)

Tall buildings...

strange ones...

typical ones...

Beautifully architectured ones...

... yet, deceit is taught therein...

"For they that are such
serve not our Lord Jesus Christ,
but their own belly;
and by good words and fair speeches
deceive the hearts of the simple."
(Romans 16:18)

Cities on hills...

"Ye are the light of the world.
A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle,
and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick;
and it giveth light unto all
that are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
(Matthew 5:14-16)

May His Light be shining through us
into the darkened world...
May it shine bright and not be hid...
that they may glorify HIM!

Jeannie ~ Thank you. We have, yet, to visit northern CA but we are enjoying where the LORD has placed us. There truly is HIS beauty everywhere! :o)

Bonnie ~ Yes, very needy, indeed. May we be laboring for the Master, in actions and in words.
