Simple Woman's Daybook...

For today... January 4, 2010


Outside my window...
the sun is brightly shining
and there's a great chill in the air


I am thinking...
of a few tasks I need to complete today


I am thankful for...
the past year of God's many blessings,
answers to prayer, and spiritual growth


I am wearing...
blue suede jumper
with white t-shirt


I am remembering...
"If we live in the Spirit,
let us also walk in the Spirit"
~ Galatians 5:25
Trying to remember and practice
to walk in the spirit rather than the flesh


I am going...
to stay home to do laundry
and organize some desk drawers


I am reading...
through my KJ Bible in a year,
currently in Nehemiah, Galatians;
Choosing Gratitude by Nancy Leigh DeMoss (with my eldest)


I am hoping (praying)...
for the Holy Spirit to continue His work
in the hearts of those I love
and to help me to be Spirit controlled


On my mind...
Doing the things I ought to do
whether I want to do them or not


From the learning rooms...
on hold while Daddy is home
and Mama works on plans


Noticing that...
God is gracious, longsuffering,
and forgiving


Pondering these words...
" What? know ye not that your body
is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you,
which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?"
~ 1 Corinthians 6:19
Amazing and unfathomable concept!



From the kitchen...
clean up is needed from the weekend's cooking

On the Menu...
M ~ Tacos
T ~ Rotini
W ~ Chicken Noodle Soup
Th ~ Philly Cheese Steak
F ~ {Birthday} Sourdough pizza


Around the house...
Daddy is preparing to take
the younger children to the commisary,
eldest is having quiet time in her room


I am creating...
nothing at present


I am hearing...
the children playing in the living room;
the washer in the laundry room


One of my favorite things...
reading God's Word


A few plans for the rest of the week...
give our home a blessing {cleaning};
spend time sewing and making lesson plans;
go to Daddy's promotion (!);
attend our midweek prayer service;
go to Beth's violin lesson;
go to our Keepers of the Faith meeting;
celebrate our "baby's" 6th birthday
