Week In Review...

I had a few moments to post
so I thought I'd share some photos from our week.

(click on the photos to enlarge)

After Ally taught piano on Tuesday,
we came across this little guy, as we were leaving,
trying to cross the sidewalk... (ewww!)

It was the first time they had seen a millipede.

On Wednesday, Will was thrilled to get his

{belated} birthday box from Gramma...

Even Suzie got a treat...

On Thursday, we took a trip to a local state park
to visit the beach (where we'll be taking a field trip to soon).
When we arrived, we realized there wasn't beach access,
except by ferry (which was closed due to strong currents).
Since we couldn't visit the natural beach,
we walked to the pier...

we enjoyed the scenery...

It was quite bright

We, also, stopped in the visitor center
and read about the island we'll be visiting,
in addition to other educational information...

Since we weren't able to go to the beach,
we stopped at a local park on the way home...

While the younger ones buried things in the sand,

Ally and I read aloud...

We had a nice time, though it was hot.

I hope y'all have enjoyed your week
and have a blessed Lord's Day this Sunday.
Our Sunday School teacher has been doing a study
on how to study the Word of God
and Pastor has been doing a series on Christian character.
What a blessing these have been!
What a joy it is to be in the Lord's house
and feed from His Word!

"Thy word is very pure:
therefore thy servant loveth it."
~ Psalm 119:140

"LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house,
and the place where thine honour dwelleth."
~ Psalm 26:8

Christina,

Do make a point of going back to THAT BEACH once the weather calms. It is the MOST AMAZING beach. We used to camp there- the price for a campsite is reasonable and the island is so much more interesting when the visitors are gone. The early morning was the best, at the end of the island (about a mile to the left) there is an amazing sand bar with shark teeth and sand dollars and tons of sea life, even a bunch of tidal pools for the little ones.

We will be praying as Hannah arrives, my parents live about 2 hours west of where you are and we still have a lot of friends in the area.

It looks like you had a wonderful week dispite a few change in plans. It's nice whenever the dog is even thought of. :) I pray that Hanna won't trouble your family too much.

Pretty blue Regency dress!

Have a great weekend my friend!

Looks like a pretty day, despite the disappointments of not getting to the beach. Hopefully you can go back again another day.

Blessings

I so enjoy your week in reviews. They are just such a bright spot to my day. :-)

You take really great pictures as well! Cant wait to see your fall pictures when the leaves change colors and all. :-)

I don't know if the leaves change colors in Texas as it's my first fall here...lol.

Have a safe weekend!
