Strawberryin' Snapshots...

We enjoyed a lovely day of picking strawberries yesterday!
It was a blessing to be out-of-doors
and to collect so many beautiful berries!
We plan to eat, freeze, eat, and jam them! Yum!!

The children enjoyed filling their buckets...

Five buckets full!!

Big, ripe, juicy, and sweet! Mmmmm!!!

"We are bound by a small,
sometimes magical fruit called the strawberry.
This fruit has the power to make tears dry up,
make friends with enemies, make sick people feel better,
make the elderly feel younger by bringing back
pleasant memories of days gone by,
make acquaintances of strangers,
and above all make little children smile.
What other fruit has that power?"

That looks like the same strawberry patch we picked from last month! We are enjoying ours as well. What a sweet picture of your little girl knealing down at one of the plants. It's nice to find another conservative family.

I have very much wanted to get my kids out to a local strawberry patch. Seems like every time we plan to go something comes up! Looks like there's plenty to be done now. Maybe we could see pretty pictures of strawberry jam?

Yum, those red buckets sure shine - it almost looks like you painted them on the picture, but I know you didn't. Now I'm hungry for strawberries. Our picking season is much later - but I know where I can find some in our freezer. :)

We all love strawberries here, however we can only buy them from the vegetable stalls/vans/stores that we find in our villages. I'm sure the kids would love to pick them themselves. What do you make with so many strawberries at one time? Jam ? mmmmmm :)

Yum! Yum! Strawberries are always one of my favorite fruits. Unfortunately, we don't have any fields nearby since our weather is not great for strawberries.

I noticed in one of your pictures that it looks like you have twins? Is that trick photography or something that I've missed reading your blog all these years..hehe!
