One thing I was quick to realize
when we first moved to California
is that it, in no way, lacks in beauty!
We are surrounded
by constant, visual reminders
of our Creator's glory!
And when we travel to visit our eldest,
I always return home with a camera
full of snapshots from our trip...
and that's exactly what happened
when we surprised our eldest
a little over a week ago.
Miles and miles of YHVH's
beautiful handiwork!
And snapshots to share...
"The heavens declare his righteousness,
and all the people see his glory."
Psalm 97:6
His bow in the sky...
a reminder of His promises
As we drove, the children
noticed the clouds atop the mountains
and thought of what we've been
reading in Scripture lately...
"And mount Sinai
was altogether on a smoke,
because {YHVH} the LORD
descended upon it in fire:
and the smoke thereof ascended
as the smoke of a furnace,
and the whole mount quaked greatly."
Exodus 19:18
... The desert and mountains meet...

Many of the mountains had beautiful
blankets of snow...
And here is where we enjoyed playing in the snow
"The works of {YHVH} the LORD are great,
sought out of all them that have pleasure therein."
Psalm 111:2
"...stand still, and consider
the wondrous works of {Elohim} God."
Job 37:14

Beautiful! We saw a lot of Joshua trees in AZ in October too. Very fun.
Beautiful photos! Reminds me of "home" and the beauty that we enjoyed so much there. Amazingly...Montana is just as beautiful, just in different ways. We lived in Murrieta (Temecula) for several years and some of those pictures may have looked vaguely familiar :) The cloudy days seemed few and far between - but when they happened they were soooo very beautiful. My kids (ages 3 and 4 at the time) used to ask (very excitedly) if Yeshua was returning whenever they saw the clouds in the sky :)

So lovely! I do miss seeing the mountains. I think it's been about 20 years... I know what you mean by not helping but see the glory of YHVH in beautiful scenery. We feel this way every single time we venture out into our beautiful Hill Country be it just outside the house or out and about. So, so beautiful...
